About Kelly

Kelly Vickers is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor at Olive Tree, with over 20 years in the mental health field and a private practice she's been running since 2015. She's been licensed in North Carolina since 2007, and she completes additional training every year, including ongoing work in trauma-informed care. Her focus is on working with adults through anxiety, depression, life transitions, relational dynamics, and the patterns that keep people stuck.

Her Approach

Kelly's approach is collaborative and draws from Gestalt, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy depending on what the client needs. She works both short-term with solution-focused tools and longer-term through the psychodynamic process, helping clients build a deeper understanding of themselves and why they respond the way they do.

She believes therapy is a balance between support and challenge. It's a space to get curious about what activates you, what you keep reacting to, and what you actually value most in yourself and your relationships.

Her Mission

It takes courage to reach out, and Kelly doesn't take that lightly. Her goal is to build a therapeutic relationship where clients feel safe enough to do real work, and to help them find their way toward healing, restoration, and a life that feels like their own.
