About Kayla
Kayla Trammell is a Licensed Clinical Social Work Associate at Olive Tree. Originally from Maryland, she has spent the last six years in Eastern North Carolina. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Frostburg State University in 2018 and her Master of Social Work from Walden University in 2024.
Before joining Olive Tree, Kayla provided mental health services to military service members at Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point, where she delivered individual therapy and facilitated psychoeducational, support, and processing groups. That experience gave her a grounded understanding of military culture and the specific mental health challenges that come with it.
Her Approach
Kayla works with adults primarily, though she is open to clients across ages and backgrounds. Her clinical experience covers trauma, mood disorders, sleep disorders, personality disorders, anxiety, and depression. Her theoretical approach draws from psychodynamic psychotherapy, CBT, ACT, and DBT, giving her a flexible toolkit she can tailor to each client's needs.
Outside of work, she spends time with her children, family, and friends, and gets outside for hiking and travel whenever she can.
