About Ethan

Ethan Marsh is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) at the New Bern office. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Communication from UNC Wilmington, and Ethan recently earned his Master of Science (MS) in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Mount Olive. He was also granted his Associate Level License. His focus is on supporting individuals and couples through the things that feel hardest to carry alone, whether that's emotions, relationships, identity, faith, or just the weight of everyday life.

His Approach

Ethan works from a person-centered and humanistic foundation, meaning the client's goals and experience shape the direction of the work. He sees the good each client possesses to foster growth and change, recognizing that clients are ultimately the experts on their own lives. He draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy as tools when they fit, and he's comfortable integrating faith into the therapeutic process for clients who want that. At Olive Tree, that kind of faith-integrated approach is part of the culture, and Ethan brings it naturally into his work.
