Dr. Deb Midyette is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Certified Rehabilitation Counselor at Olive Tree Family Practice, joining the team in January 2024 after several years of practice in Greenville, NC. She holds a Doctorate and a Master's in Humanistic Psychology as well as a Master's in Rehabilitation and Career Counseling, and her professional background spans vocational rehabilitation and the corporate world.

Her Approach

Deb brings an unusually broad set of tools to her clinical work. Her therapeutic approach integrates Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Gestalt, and Motivational Interviewing, and she uses EMDR for trauma processing. She is also a Reiki Master and is certified in Bio-Energetic Synchronization Technique, reflecting a holistic view of healing that considers the whole person rather than symptoms alone.

Her focus is on clients working through anxiety, depression, PTSD, grief, and pain. She understands that change takes real effort, and she considers it a privilege to walk alongside people in that process.
