A Life's Calling

There are not many people who can say they have spent over three decades doing the work they were called to do. David Morrow is one of them. As the founder, CEO, and Clinical Director of Olive Tree Family Counseling, David brings more than 35 years of experience in the mental health field and a genuine passion for helping individuals, couples, and families find their way through life's most difficult seasons.

Clinical Background

David is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and an ordained minister, a combination that gives him a uniquely powerful perspective on the intersection of faith and mental health. He holds a Ph.D. in Christian Organizational Leadership and a Master of Divinity in Pastoral Counseling, and he dedicates approximately 350 hours each year to providing counseling services to his clients. For those seeking a therapist who understands both the clinical and spiritual dimensions of healing, David offers a rare and deeply valuable kind of care.

Investing in the Next Generation

Beyond his work with clients, David is deeply committed to raising up the next generation of mental health professionals. He serves as an Approved Supervisor with the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy and as a Qualified Supervisor with the North Carolina Board of Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselors, mentoring interns at both the master's level and post-graduate stage. He is also a sought after speaker whose engagements are known for their energy, insight, and practical wisdom drawn from a faith perspective.

Beyond the Office

In 2016 David married Cheryl, his partner in both life and ministry. Their story began on Christian Mingle in 2014, and from their very first conversation they discovered a shared vision for helping couples and families flourish. Outside of his professional life, David finds great joy in his marriage to Cheryl and their blended family of two children, two stepchildren, and one step-grandson. He is a musician and experiences peaceful relaxation in his home studio where his guitars are his tools of emotional expression.

Books & Publications

David has channeled his decades of experience working with couples into two practical, faith-based books on marriage and relationships. Both are available on Amazon.
