About Cyndy

Cyndy Brougher is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate at Olive Tree, working with individuals, couples, and families. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a Minor in Child Development from Arizona State University and Ashford University, as well as a Master's in Marriage and Family Counseling at Capella University. Her professional background spans ABA therapy, marketing, and ballroom instruction, and that range of experience shapes how naturally she connects with people from different walks of life.

Cyndy has been a military spouse for 20 years and is a mom to three kids. She doesn't just understand family complexity in theory. She's lived it, and that shows up in how she works with the people she supports.

Her Approach

Cyndy works from a systemic perspective, paying close attention to the patterns of interaction within families and how the roles people take on shape the way they communicate and relate. She is drawn to Narrative Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy, and she incorporates psychoeducation and bibliotherapy to help clients build new skills alongside insight. She's currently pursuing Gottman Method certification and working toward AASECT certification as a sex therapist, expanding her ability to serve a wider range of client needs.

Her approach is flexible by design. No two clients are the same, and Cyndy doesn't treat them like they are.

Her Mission

Cyndy is continually inspired by how resilient people are, and she feels genuinely honored to be part of her clients' healing journeys. She brings a caring, empathetic, and nonjudgmental presence to every session. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, volunteering, substituting at her kids' school, and going on day dates with her husband.
