About Analiese

Analiese Axelson is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern at Olive Tree Family Counseling and is currently completing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at East Carolina University, with an expected graduation date of May 2027. As a counselor-in-training, she provides therapeutic services under clinical supervision while continuing to receive additional training and supervision through her graduate program.

Before beginning her graduate clinical training, Analiese worked as a crisis counselor with a local crisis center and the National Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. Analiese has also completed the Beginner and Intermediate levels of Somatic Experiencing® Professional Training and is currently completing the Advanced level. Her training includes extensive study of stress and trauma physiology, nervous system regulation, and body-based approaches to trauma resolution, along with supervised practice and professional consultation.

Her Approach

Analiese works from a Person-Centered and integrative foundation grounded in the belief that every person possesses an innate capacity for growth and healing when provided with a safe, supportive, and collaborative therapeutic relationship.

Her approach recognizes the interconnectedness of the mind, body, and spirit and honors each client as a whole person rather than a collection of symptoms. Drawing from Person-Centered principles, trauma-trained care, and Somatic Experiencing®, Analiese helps clients develop greater awareness of how their thoughts, emotions, and beliefs influence their lived experiences. She believes in emphasizing the clients’ strengths & gifts to facilitate their healing journey. Working with the mind & body creates a language that speaks to clients who feel “stuck” in patterns

Her goal is to help clients strengthen their felt sense of self, develop greater embodiment, and reconnect with their capacity to engage securely and confidently in their lives.

Whether you are beginning counseling for the first time, returning to therapy, or looking to deepen an existing healing process, Analiese considers it an honor to understand your story and walk alongside you in your therapeutic journey.
