About Alysa
Alysa Andrews is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate at Olive Tree Family Counseling. Originally from Pennsylvania, she has spent the last six years in North Carolina. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Mansfield University and her Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy, with a specialization in Couple Therapy, from National University.
Prior to joining Olive Tree, Alysa’s clinical background included inpatient mental health, substance abuse treatment, and a variety of administrative roles within mental health settings, giving her a well-rounded understanding of how people move through the mental health system.
Her Approach
Alysa works primarily with couples and adults. Her clinical practice centers on Internal Family Systems, integrating IFS with Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Mindfulness and Collaborative approaches depending on what each client needs. That integrative style guides clients in exploring their inner worlds, reconnecting with their strengths, and developing a genuine sense of self-ownership, both individually and within their relationships.
Her goal is to help clients build resilience, find clarity, and move toward balance and growth that lasts.
Outside of work, Alysa trains Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, reads, travels, and spends time with friends and family.
