About Rashanda
Rashanda Cooper is a Graduate Social Work Intern at Olive Tree, working under the supervision of Alison Siepker, LCSW, BCD. She provides mental health therapy and supportive services while completing her Master of Social Work degree at Howard University through the Advanced Standing Program.
A New Bern native, Rashanda started at Craven Community College before earning her Bachelor of Social Work from East Carolina University, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a minor in Psychology and a certificate in Maternal and Child Health.
How She Works
Rashanda's practice is grounded in trauma-informed care, family systems theory, and culturally responsive approaches. She meets clients where they are and builds from their strengths rather than focusing solely on what's broken. Whether someone is working through emotional struggles, family conflict, or relational challenges, she brings a steady, personalized presence to the process.
Her Mission
At the heart of her work is a simple belief: people already have what they need to heal. Her job is to help them find it.
