About Ethan
Ethan Marsh is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern at Olive Tree, seeing clients under supervision at the New Bern office. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Communication from UNC Wilmington and is currently completing his Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Mount Olive. His focus is on supporting children, teens, and families through the things that feel hardest to carry alone, whether that's emotions, relationships, identity, faith, or just the weight of everyday life.
His Approach
Ethan works from a person-centered foundation, meaning the client's goals and experience shape the direction of the work. He draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy as tools when they fit, and he's comfortable integrating faith into the therapeutic process for clients who want that. At Olive Tree, that kind of faith-integrated approach is part of the culture, and Ethan brings it naturally into his work.
