Rashanda Cooper, Intern
Rashanda Cooper is a Graduate Social Work Intern at Olive Tree Family Practice, where she provides mental health therapy and supportive services under the supervision of Alison Siepker, LCSW, BCD. She is currently pursuing her Master of Social Work (MSW) degree at Howard University through the Advanced Standing Program.
A New Bern, North Carolina native, Rashanda began her academic journey at Craven Community College, later earning her Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) from East Carolina University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a minor in Psychology and a certificate in Maternal and Child Health (MCH).
Rashanda’s professional interests center on mental health, family systems, and trauma-informed care, with a focus on culturally responsive and strengths-based interventions. At Olive Tree Family Practice, she integrates evidence-based approaches aligned with NASW Standards for Social Work Practice, supporting individuals and families in addressing emotional, behavioral, and relational challenges.
Her mission is to empower clients to build resilience, self-awareness, and emotional balance through compassion, education, and a holistic approach to wellness.
