Joe Hale, Intern

Joe is a counseling intern with a passion for helping people find healing, clarity, and direction. A native of eastern North Carolina, he is currently earning his master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Colorado Christian University. He also holds a degree in philosophy with a minor in psychology from East Carolina University, bringing both a thoughtful and practical perspective to his work. Joe’s professional path has been shaped by diverse experiences in accounting, legal services, healthcare, and turf grass management—giving him a unique ability to connect with people from all walks of life.

In his counseling practice, Joe creates a secure and supportive space where clients feel seen and heard. He is EMDR-trained and takes a trauma-informed, insight-oriented approach, blending techniques from psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and existential therapy. His goal is not only to help clients overcome challenges but also to guide them toward resilience, meaningful growth, and lasting change.

Joe is committed to walking alongside his clients with compassion, equipping them with tools for restoration, self-acceptance, and healthier living. He believes every person has the capacity for renewal, and he strives to help clients embrace that potential with confidence.
