Alison Siepker, LCSW, BCD

Alison received her Master of Social Work from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in May 2006. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Board Certified Diplomate through the American Board of Clinical Social Work. Before joining Olive Tree Family Counseling, Alison served as an Active Duty Clinical Social Worker in the US Navy for 13 years. Prior to commissioning in the Navy, she was a Combat Correspondent in the US Marine Corps. During her service in the US Navy, she provided mental health services to military service members across the globe. She deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, providing mental health support to forward-deployed Marines and Sailors, and provided psychological first-aid to Marines and Sailors involved in the Kabul Airport bombing in August 2021. She has over a decade of experience working with service members who suffer from PTSD, military sexual trauma, trauma-related disorders, mood disorders, substance abuse, anxiety, depression, sleep disturbances, and personality disorders.

Alison is currently studying Applied Sports Psychology at the University of Western States and is looking forward to sharing her skills with the local community.  

Alison considers herself a Citizen of the World.  She was born in England, but grew up in Dubai, and has lived in several countries. She met her husband Geoff in Dubai during Operation Desert Storm, and what started as a chance meeting quickly grew into a deep and lasting connection. Alison and her husband are now both enjoying their retirements from active duty. She is an avid athlete and when she is not working as a therapist or spending time with her husband and their 3 dogs, she can be found riding her bike, running, swimming, or doing pilates.
